Our History & Background
Preserve a Life (PAL) Foundation was established in response to the escalating suicide rates in Ghana, recognizing the urgent need to address the underlying causes and reduce the stigma associated with mental health challenges. What began as a grassroots initiative by a dedicated team of passionate individuals has grown into a leading organization in suicide prevention efforts across the country.
In its early stages, PAL focused on breaking the silence surrounding suicide and mental health by initiating community-based awareness campaigns and educational programs. The foundation’s commitment to making a tangible difference attracted the support of local communities, mental health professionals, and various stakeholders, enabling it to expand its reach and impact.
